Anthony W Travis, Chairman

Anthony is a much-respected leader of the Swiss business and financial scene, in which he has been active since 1974. Formerly a Managing Partner at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Geneva, he also served on the boards of several financial institutions both in Switzerland and internationally. Anthony continues to advise companies and not-for-profit organizations on matters of strategy, governance and finance. In 2014, Anthony’s strategic guidance and enthusiastic support enabled us to launch AKTS & Partners. In addition to being a devoted family man, Anthony is an avid historian, an unconditional Beatles fan, and an experienced mountaineer. He is a British and Swiss national, and lives in Switzerland.

Sandro Vecchio, Vice Chairman

Fluent in four languages and comfortable in several others, Sandro is a reputed international attorney who caters to a diverse clientele for -often complex- corporate, financial, administrative and reputational matters. Renowned for his swiftness to act strategically when situations are urgent, Sandro is a Partner in the Geneva office of Archipel law firm that was founded in Paris in 2011. Sandro serves on the Board of the Geneva Bar Association and is a reserve Judge in the Geneva Administrative Courts. Sandro drives a vintage motorcycle, is an officer in the Swiss army and is an awarded amateur show-jumper. He is a Swiss and Italian national, and lives in Geneva.

Shukri Shammas, Member

Shukri is an entrepreneur with a passion for games, technology, finance and real estate. Shukri is Partner and Co-Founder of Initial Capital, a leading early-stage venture capital firm and serves on the boards of several of its portfolio companies. He is also Partner and Co-Founder of property development firm Summix and has been involved in all phases of the firm’s development since its establishment in 2006. Previously, he was Chairman, Chief Financial Officer and Co-Founder of Playfish, a leading developer of social games, up to the company’s acquisition by Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: EA) in November 2009. Before Playfish, he was Managing Director and Co-Founder of Macrospace which merged with Sorrent to become Glu Mobile (NASDAQ:GLUU), a global publisher of mobile games. Prior to Macrospace, he was Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Domainia, an Internet services provider, after starting his career at accounting firm Westbury Schotness. He holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the American College, London.
